LOW-COST HAS A COST

When it comes to synthetic materials, recycling is undoubtedly a good thing.

But you have to look a bit further from what is written on the label.

As Nate Gelman from IBISWorldanalyst puts it “Our appetite for low-cost shirts, pants, and athletic wear made from synthetic fibres is far from satisfied by all the polyester manufactured from recycled materials and because fibre made from old bottles tends to be low quality, it needs to be blended with virgin fibre for strength. “

That’s why we here at Seasoned Traveler believe in natural materials.

MEET THE TRAVELER. VILLE JEHE

Meet the Traveler is a series of short interviews where our good friends (and customers) share their favourite movies and travels and stuff.

Here’s Ville.

A man with knowledge.

A man with a spirit.

A man with a vision.

Name: Ville Jehe
Occupation: Entrepreneur
ST shell: Navy
ST lining: Purple Ramie/ Wool/ Linen
Mindset: Free but sensible

Q: What actor would you want to play yourself in a biopic about you?
A: Viggo Mortensen. There’s a resemblance…

Q: What would the movie be called?
A: Doesn’t matter. The movie will be never finished. It will be made just because of the fun of the process.

Q: The movie with the best style?
A: Fargo

Q: Do you remember your first movie date?
A: It was during the school holidays in Avinurme at the local cinema. I dated a girl every weekend through the summer. The only thing is… the only ones to know about it were me and my imagination.

Q: The coolest city?
A: Barcelona

Q: Train or plane?
A: Absolutely train. You can have enough personal space. And no one has had jetlag from the train travel yet.

Q: Favourite airport?
A: Kihnu airport. It’s just a meadow. When a plane lands, it’s front windows are covered with grass.

PLASTIC NOT SO FANTASTIC

According to National Geographic, every time plastic is recycled, the polymer chain grows shorter, so its quality decreases.

The same piece of plastic can only be recycled about 2-3 times before its quality decreases to the point where it can no longer be used.

That’s why we here at Seasoned Traveler believe in nature’s hi-tech.
